    Thanks for the welcome Guys. I look forward to learning from some of you more experienced Crappie men. I have spent much of the last 20 years chasing landlocked Stripers and deer hunting with some occasional Crappie fishing, when I'm not working of course.

    Lately the urge to chase line stretchers has waned some and the lure of something more relaxing and better in hot grease has turned my attention more towards Crappie fishing but I lack the knowledge that only comes from time on the water. I know I have a lot to learn so I'm all ears.

    My home lake would be considered Lake Guntersville or perhaps the upper end of the Coosa river (Weiss or Henry Neely lakes) in Alabama. I live in the area between the two rivers on Sand Mountain.
