Hugastump , comes from a canoe trip one fate full day when I assured the wife there were no spots on the upper Manistee River that were deeper than 5 ft and if the canoe tipped over all you had to do was stand up....... I was wrong and was given the name to by my wife too remember. ARMY veteran 67-69 . Been fishing since I could hold a cane pole , but now I have the time ,I do not have the health. I have learned much from this form , I always thought when I caught a Speck/Crappie it was one swimming buy, but since reading post here have started locating the right areas an catching a few. Married for 46years, have lived in this area Livingston county ,southern Michigan all my life . first fish was caught off the shores of Thompson Lake a Mile away from where I live. 67 years old an still fishing.
