Hello from NorCal - Stockton

Hi there! The name is Alex, just getting back into fishing more seriously after a few years off. Mainly due to my son now being old enough to go with me, he's going to be 6 in September. I've always loved fishing for all panfish, mainly bluegill, but hope to scout out some of my old bass fishing holes for crappie here in the San Joaquin Delta. I have a few potential spots picked out, but otherwise some great crappie lakes are just 45 minutes up the road.

I like to bank fish, but also have a zodiac and float tube, spinning, casting or fly, I do it all.

Slowly building my kit back up too, I've grown partial to the vintage Zebco 33 again, put one on my son's 5.5 rod, I have one on a 5.5 as well. Also just picked up a 5' UL South Bend Micro light casting rod that I think I'll put a modern Omega on or possibly a vintage Daiwa 206. I enjoy simple rigs with floats, either just a split shot and worm, or jig and a casting bubble.

Anyways, been reading here finding lots of great info!
