Thanks for the warm welcome. I have fished for crappie since I was a small kid, but I've always been a very basic crappie fisherman- always used minnows on slip bobbers and very occasionally would jig, mainly from the bank during the spawn. This year I've had the opportunity to attend some great seminars and speak with most of the BNM prostaffers. I am rigging my dad's boat (or as I like to think of it, my boat when he's not using it) with Humminbird 900's (999 and 959) this spring. I'm also hoping to add some rod holders for spider rigging/slow trolling. I also will be doing some kayak fishing this year.
Mark Twain is my favorite crappie hole- close to home and my family has a place there. I will be heading up there to fish the first two weekends of April. Anyone who has advise on how to slay them there, I'd love to hear it.
