Thread: Newbie from North Dakota

At 42 years old, I went fishing for panfish for the first time in my life last weekend. Well, as my new membership here attests to, I am "hooked"!

Panfish aren't near as popular here in eastern ND as they are in other areas of the USA. Pike, walleye and perch rule up here. They are great, and as my name hints at, I love pike fishing. But if there are any other eastern NoDaks here who can point me to good crappie or bluegill lakes, I'd appreciate it!

Anyway...even though they aren't slabs, I had to show off my first bluegill keepers. These 8-9 inchers are the only four I kept. I caught close to two dozen in the 4-5 inch range.
