Hello All!

I just joined a few days ago and have already posted a few threads and got some great help and responses from everyone. I've been reading some other posts but as I am a beginner I haven't been able to contribute to anything yet. I look forward to one day being able to help another noob out.

Even after doing lots of Googling, reading, and YouTube watching I still manage to come across something new that I am unsure of out on the water just about every time. I'm glad I found a place like this where I can ask the experts about different topics, especially since I'm the only one I know who fishes.

I hope it is ok to post a lot of questions.

I've already caught a bunch of Black Crappie, so I guess I can contribute a tip that works for me. I bobber fish basically on the surface and use Gulp Alive Minnows (Chartreuse) on one of those 1/16th (maybe) minnow head eyeball jig things (variety of colors). When I find a school of crappie they bite as soon as the bait hits the water. Because it is tough bait, they rarely steal the bait which is nice. Also, after about 15 or so casts, I dump the bait back into the Gulp Juice to give it a refresher. If there is no bobber movement in a few minutes with this setup, I assume there probably aren't crappie in the area.

Look forward to contributing more!
