avatar not showing up

I put a picture sized correctly into My Profile but it does not show up. I must be doing something wrong.
Can someone help?
Could not find anything on avatar in a search

It appears that you have a profile picture but no avatar. Try adding it to a "custom avatar".

I don't find that option in my profile area

Just go to the top right of this page.....right next to where it says log out....click on settings......when that page loads click on edit avatar and go from there

Larry ... look up at the top of the page, on the far right, and click on SETTINGS. When the page changes to your profile settings ... look on the left side for "EDIT AVATAR". When you click on that, click on the "USE CUSTOM AVATAR" circle, and then choose the option #2 and click on "Chose File" ... find your chosen picture/image and follow the prompts to put it in as your Avatar.

Your Avatar picture cannot be larger than 110x110 pixels.

What ever is done worked as the picture is already showing up!?

I've noticed when someone starts to sneeze, they get the "ah-" out, and someone will provide the "choo". Amazing how agile some of these folks are with a computer.

I'm not surprised, just amazed.
