Welcome from Mississippi

Hey all! I'd like to thank everyone for the great articles and forum threads on this site. This year was my first attempt at trying to crappie fish as I had heard crappie fishing down here is fantastic - boy they weren't kidding!
Using the vast amount of information I read through this site, I was able to successfully crappie jig my way to my first slab! I was as proud as a peacock pulling that freddie on up and had to take a picture:
Soon after catching him, I kept fishing about 6 feet deep in the same area - reeling it in real slow as that is how I caught the first crappie. Then, I had something take my rod and bend it like a willow branch! My kayak moved around and I took a bit of what is called a 'cajun sleigh-ride'! Here is what came of that:
Needless to say, I was pretty happy with my haul yesterday. If I had something to keep them in on my kayak, the girls at home would have had a couple good dinners in front of them.
Just wanted to show you guys the fruits of your (and my own) efforts. I appreciate all of the articles and will continue to browse them!
