Thread: Newbie from Southern IL

I have not done much fishing as I always had plenty other things going on like golf and kids. Kids are gone and so is my golf game not that it was ever much. My father in-law is a huge crappie nut and I have been with him a few times. This winter I found a deal on a 17' aluminum boat with a Johnson 70. I have an Elite 5 DSI that I am trying to learn. I have been fishing with my boat twice and ain't caught no crappie yet hence the "Empty Cooler".
