    Default New guy in Florida

Greetings all, new guy here, just saying hello.... Live in the Tampa area and have been fishing saltwater exclusively since I moved here from FL in 2003. I finally got myself something that floats so now I can explore some of the lakes around here that supposedly hold lots of crappie... I grew up in Missouri bass and crappie fishing but it's been over 10 years since I've tried for either. I recently bought a Nucanoe Frontier 12 fishing kayak and I absolutely love it. IF anyone in the Tampa area does their crappie fishing from a kayak and is open to a tag-along please let me know! I worked in the fishing department of the original Bass Pro in Springfield, MO while I was in college and I took full advantage of the employee discount to acquire lots of gear. I still have a lot of it but will be heading to Bass Pro in Orlando today to get a few more rigs and some fresh soft plastics. Here's a photo of my fishing rig:

Thanks to all for the warm welcome, and yes I do think I have a sweet rig! That photo was taken before I added a solar panel to give my trolling motor batteries a boost while I'm on the water... Photos og the mods I've done to my yak can be found here: http://www.nucanoe.com/forum/my-cust...ntier-12-mods/

Long story short I run 3 batteries all stored inside the hull and one of them is attached to the solar panel which is mounted on a cooler in the bow of the yak.

"But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 25:15
