Recently retired to Lake Hartwell and eager to learn more about crappie fishing. We live on Shoal creek and our dock has about 12 feet of water in summer. I have good success with trolling in cooler months but want to learn daytime jigging in summer months.
i currently have a 14 ft Jon with 798 ci hummingbird side scan GPS/sonar, not your typical Jon but plan to add a larger boat now we live on a lake.
The crappie I've caught from the dock are long but a lot skinnier than what I'm used to, wondering if this is common here?
