    Default Catalpa worms

Hi everyone! I'm a newbie as of yesterday. I live in Cypress TX, NW of Houston and would like to know if anyone knows where I can buy catalpa worms. I have a tree that has never had worms so I'm resigned to buying them. My grandsons love to fish for catfish but have never used catalpa worms. Would appreciate any help.

Welcome from Mississippi. You probably have a better chance getting your question answered over on the TX board. I have five Catalpa trees.......never had any worms....I even went and got some to put on them because I was told that would get them started....didn't work.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Welcome from Indiana. Home area full of Catalpa. Worm only use certain trees. Can have one tree full of worms, tree standing beside it nothing. Should be coming on about now. Have not even looked. They are about the best catfish bait this time of year. Can find tree beside old railroad beds. They used these trees for RR ties in the early days.

Hiddy! Our Catalpa tree died a coupla years after my neighbor put in her hot tub. I believe it was the alum in the water. True story.
