Originally from Southern Illinois now living in western KY. Been crappie fishing since I was old enough to walk with my Grandpa. We never discriminated against any other fish, but crappie were what we searched for! Grew up fishing Crab Orchard, Cedar Lake, Rend Lake and Kincaid with some trips to Reelfoot thrown in for those big bluegill too. Grandpa passed away 2 yrs ago now, so I am on my own now. Back in October I finally talked the wife into letting me replace Grandpa's old 1648 Lowe with a new to me 1648 GIII. I have bank fished Doug Travis, Barkley and Kentucky Lake, but planning on hitting them hard this spring from the new boat. Truthfully, fishing is what I do to fill the freezer when I can't be out chasing ducks and geese, but fishing does come in a very close second for fun.
