Came across the site looking for an alternative to bass fishing in the cold Virginia winter. After reading many threads I am excited to get out and try some crappie. Heard they were good eating fish, but knew nothing else prior to reading up here. I have a little V-hull jon boat that I picked up last Summer after getting back into fishing since my teens. I am looking at this rod as a nice crappie rod that I can also use for bass that might give me a better feel when texas rigging worms. I guess the only other thing about me is that I am using spincast reels. Grew up with them and have only tried a spincast once or twice, so I need to try some other options. Excited to be here.
