Broome county NY tries to hold an annual crappie derby each year, thru the ice on the Whitney Point reservoir. Last winter the ice was tooo thin and I think the year before was poor ice too.
I have recently got back to fishing, my career kept me too buy to partake until this year.
My 3 or 4 boatings on the reservoir revealed there are crappie in this water, there for the taking.
