Hello All, I am new to crappie fishing and this site so please bear with me as I am trying to learn both how to post forums as well as catch some crappie! I was hoping that maybe some of you more experienced crappie guys would be willing to share a few tips.I live in Plant City , but I was born and raised in St.petersburg. Just before Thanksgiving my daddy took me out to Lake Tarpon speck fishing for a few hours and I was hooked! Although we only got to fish maybe 2 hrs. or so we had a blast. He caught 6 or 7 fish and I caught only 2. We are planning another trip there within the next week or two and I would really like to know a little bit more about how and where in Lake Tarpon to catch a few good fish. On my first trip out we just set out a few poles with minnows and bobbers, wind drifted across the lake and picked up a fish here and there but what I'm wondering is there a more preferred method or bait choice? Thanks for any help!
