Hello everyone. Thought I would introduce myself and say hello. I live in Stanford,Ky really close to Cedar Creek Lake. I usually fish Cedar 4-5 times a year mostly for crappie and redear. Never have really spent alot of time trying to figure out the crappie in Cedar. Hopefully that will change this year. I mostly fish for striper in Lake Cumberland. Been fishing for striper for years and truly enjoy catching them. I usually striper fish around 65 to 70 days a year. I enjoy fishing for just about anything and make numerous trips to Ky Lake, Herrington, Cumberland River, and Green River Lake. I used to tournament bass fish years ago before I found the addiction of striper fishing.I still fish a few tournaments a year with friends and still enjoy them. Now I find myself wanting to figure out crappie fishing on the local Ky lakes like Cedar Creek and Cumberland. Really looking forward to a trip to Ky Lake in March spider-rigging for the first time. I'm not here to ask for someones honey holes or GPS coordinates for structure just for tips to ease the learning curve. The crappie fishing I have done has been with minnows on a slip bobber or casting a curlytail jig. Caught a few crappie but never a limit of crappie on any lake. I will be more than happy to share fishing tips and tactics for striper in Lake Cumberland if anyone is interested and also looking for tips myself to become a better crappie angler. Looking forward to learning as much as I can. Thanks, Vance
