Yes I'm a newbie..lol...I need help finding the crappie in winter daylight I fish lighted docks at night and do fair but during the day can't seem to get a bite. Where do I look and what do I need to use? Live bait or jigs? Thanks for any help.

I can give general help that may apply to where you are. Crappie don't like bright light, so they move during the day. Overcast days are different yet. Cover, shade, depth, structure all help to give them a place to go. Deeper ledges and brushpiles will hold some. Keep in mind that some brushpiles will only hold a few fish that will hit, or be aggressive, then it's time to move to the next one and get those few, and so on. After an hour or so sometimes they will turn back on and you can get 1 or 2 more, but not always. Docks and overhanging trees, or blowdowns into deeper water will give you some other stuff to check out. Patience, quiet approach, and a slower presentation will help you fill your "bag of tricks".
