I would like to let everyone know that if you are in the State of Florida between the dates of Dec 17 2011 and March 17, 2012 the is a free shad and crappie derby. Just go to www.cfshadderby.com to get details on how to enter the free tournament. I think this would be a great opportunity for us Newbies to get into the sport and have a bit of friendly competition.

Yes the rournament is on the 21st. I will be fishing it.
