    Default rodgerole introduction

Was good to find a crappie forum. I was searching for indoor crappie fishing spots to try this winter. I posted the question on the Texas Fishing Forum's Crappie section, and got quite a few responses.
I'm 65 soon to be 66, live in Farmersville,TX with my wife Judy,3 chihuahuas and four cats(all those critters indoors, sheesh). Our three grown daughters live in Texas and we have several grandkids and a sprinkling of great grands which seems to be steadily increasing.
I'm an above knee amputee so have some mobility issues which I try not to let interfere with my fishing. Of course winter out in a kayak isn't a good idea for someone who can't easily get back in after a capsize, so I try to find alternate methods. Fishing barges are the most accessible and comfortable places I've found so far.
I tie most of my own flies and jigs, but do use plastic jig skirts, bass assassins and such.
Looking forward to learning more about crappie fishing and getting "let in on" some of your secrets .
