A bit of background about me... I'm originally from England, I moved here in 2006, I used to fish back there but it was all sport fishing, nothing much there was worth eating apart from trout. We had some good size carp and tench and pike were always fun to fish for. No Crappie there tho.
I am still learning the ways here, fishing with jigs and plastics is all new to me, so any advice would be most welcome, I have a good friend that I fish with from time to time and he's a big help to me, when I go with him I do fairly well, and have caught some good catches of Crappie, mainly just below the dam on Truman, even got a nice 6lb Flathead cat on a jig with 4 lb line. If I'm just killing time I'll generally go to Springfield Lake or Fellows Lake, but neither has really been good to me, if anyone has any tips for those lakes I'd love to here them...
I have a boat but its not a fishing boat, its a 120 hp runabout, family and money dictate it has to be multi-function ...lol.
Thanks for the welcome G3 Fishermen, look forward to contributing as and when I can, and I appreciate all the information you guys give.
