I do not have a start new thread button, unless I am just not seeing it. When I hit the "forum" button, it brings me to the list of forums but I can not find anything about starting a new thread. Any suggestions

OK, once you see all the forums, you'll have to select one. There you'll be able to start a thread in that specific forum. good luck. keep asking if'n that don't work for you

Click on the specific forum that you want to start a new thread in and you will see the " Post new thread" button
