I'm new to the forum but looking forward to hooking up with folk on common ground crappie fishing (what we down here in North Louisiana call white perch). I live on a small lake near Winnfield, LA called Saline Lake and at one time was one of the premier crappie lakes in the south. I live to fish for White Perch and tie my own jigs, I only have about 50 years experience so I'm relatively new to the sport. Thanks again for the welcome.
I have been fishing since I was 4 years old, started with bream and progressed to crappies, white bass and walleye....I was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin and now reside in Marietta Georgia, I would consider Lake Weiss(Alabama) as my home lake since I predominately fish there. I am glad to be a member of Crappie.com. Those who chase the speckled perch/crappie or whatever name you call it, are the best fisherman in the world! Going this weekend with my two brothers to Guntersville to see if we can catch some bream, wish us luck!
Good evening Everyone,
I'm the Newbie here! I guess I should tell a little about myself. I'm 26 years old, married and live here in Houston, TX. I am an avid Freshwater and Saltwater fisherman. My wife and I fish Galveston Bay for salt, and Toledo Bend for Fresh. I have been fishing Toledo Bend for the past 20 years and absolutely love it. I love bass fishing, but it's something about those Crappie that I love just like all of you..... I'm looking forward to finding new strategies, meeting new people, and filling the cooler up with Crappie!
Brian
