    Default Fly Fish for Specks

If I might impose on you all, my latest book, "Fly Fish for Specks" (spotted seatrout) is now available through Amazon as either paperback or in Kindle format. It's both educational and entertaining (So I've been told.), and it is well populated with black and white pics (Not all of them of me!). If you fish for these creatures and have been considering doing so with flies, you might pick up a copy. For sure, with the breeze as stiff as it has been so far this year, reading it is a good way to pass the time.
    Y'all stay warm.

Well, since I actually have a little free time now, I took the book off my "Wish List" and ordered it. Got it today, read "The Basics" chapter and skimmed the rest.

I thought the "get a casting lesson" advice was great. I wish everybody would heed that. It pains me to see people struggling to cast. I also appreciated the quick leader tutorial and the point about fishing with IDENTICAL outfits so you have the same "feel". (I've heard Rick Clunn say the same thing about casting tackle for bass.)

Anyway, those are just a few items that stood out to me in that one chapter. I'm looking forward to the rest!
