Default Blue Cypress Lake (Vero Beach)

New to the site - great stuff here. I am headed out to Vero Beach next week and will have time to fish Blue Cypress Lake. Would appreciate any recommendations on where to fish and what to use (for specks of course).

We did really well two weeks ago in the canals off of SR512 just north of 60 by the fishermans shack. Big shellcrackers too on beetle spins.
Blue Cypress was too windy to get out on w/3-4' whitecaps that day.
The next day we got out early before the blow started at 10:00AM and caught nothing but a dink bass in the zig zag canal.
