    Default Friday morning at Talquin

Water temp at sunrise was back down to 55 degrees, wind howling unable to control trolling motor and with boat loaded by 10:30........... Kept only 5 and was lucky to get those. Two other boats came in with me each had the same results. Looks to be strong winds and colder temp's all weekend. All the females I caught Wed. looked to have stopped nesting by the amount of eggs they were still carrying. Looks to me like a on and off spawn but what do I know. I'am not going again until next week when the weather gets better.

Just walked in the door. Put in at Rusty's at 8am and fished till 2:30, and only had 2 bites and both got off before I could get the net. Fished all over Polk, Rocky Comfort and alittle bit in Hammock and both bites came from the same spot in Rocky Comfort. Rusty said several folks were bringing in good boxes today when a buddy called him on the phone but I be darned if I saw anyone cathing. This was the first time I have ever been skunked on Talquin

There will be many more days that the old lumber yard beats you down young man, I limited Wed. and a bunch limited yesterday but I'am sure few will limit today. Give it a few days that old hole will give it up again.

Whats yor favorite color jig combo there? Seems I do well on pink/white, pink/chart, acid rain, and chart.
