Thread: everglades

me and my dad went speck fishin in the glades yesterday and caught four specks and several bass.We eventually started bass fishing and caught between 90 and 100 bass averaging 2lbs and the biggest about 5lbs.I talked to these guys at the boat ramp and they said between the three of them they caught almost 400 bass.

Grew up fishing the glades and yes when the bass are on it's every cast know more than 10 ft in front of the boat along the saw grass. Now for the specks, when I'd find them you could clean them out but they'd all be lumped in a 10 sq. ft. hole. .... Get out of that hole nothing, move 2 ft bang back on. Get you some minnows and find that hole, all you need is one find and your set for the day.....some of my best memories was a 3hp on a 10 ft jon followed by a 10 ft gator.

What are some good places to put a boat in?

What are some good places to just pole fish from the shore?

I have lived in Florida my whole life and not been down tot he everglades. Might take my family camping down there, and would love to do some fishing. Not sure if we would bring the boat or not, as it is a little bit of a run from Central Florida.

We have a friend on Okeechobee we have been threatening to visit. I know they are sort of connected.
