    Default Where to go?

Well I been in school down here for a year now and the only Place I have ever fished if Talquin(go there alot). Im in Lake City, and cant decide where to go Sunday, and I know its going to be windy but would you drive 2 hrs to Quincy or would you go to a lake you have never fished or seen. Im thinking of Talquin, Orange, or Lochloosa. Any tips or advice would be great. Also if any of you ever get down to Ms let me know and I will tell you wher eto go and if Im there you can go with me. Thanks alot fellows

    Robert

    Default Orange advice.

If you fish Orange, try pink or chartruse 1/16 oz. jigs on the West side of the lake in 6-8 foot of water, with about 8-10 foot of line out trolled at about .9 mph. The last time I went, when you come out of the channel, turn left and go around the point. The fish were concentrated on that side not far from the lily pads in open water.

Thanks for the tips. Im still undecided on where to go tomorrow. I want to go to Talquin but I dont want to drive all the way up there, but Im kind of skitish about going to Orange b/c I have never been there before and going in blind at daylight isnt really my idea of fun. Might go to Talquin tomorrow and Orange Monday. Is Orange wide open like Talquin? Reason I ask is b/c the wind is going to be 16+ in Quincy tomorrow and thats a wide open lake. Going to be white caps prob.

    Default Yep!

Orange is brutal when the wind is above 10.
