    Default Whites in Fl?

I fish on a lake where I live I have caught thousands of specs here all blacks... but the other day I brought one up that sure looked like a white crappie. Think it was or just a mutated black? I wasn't sure so I threw um back...

no whites Im aware of in Florida, there may be a few up at the northern edge of the state by the Alabama/Georgia lines. How big was it, is it possiable it was a flier? But again, Fliers are generally up in the northern part of the state. Caught many of them in Lake Miccosukee

Males tend to be dark, females tend to be lighter.

No this was a different fish. I don't really notice a difference in m vs. f in coloring..

I have not caught a white down here. Back in Texas, a black is rare. The white ones are normally bigger and more abundant there and a 2 pounder is not uncommon at all.
