How soon after the cold front pushes thru do you guys like fishing the specks? Also do you stick to just minnows after the front or do you still throw some jigs?
Thanks for any help

After a cold front i think it'll get tough, unless you can find them deep.

I wait for a warm up before going back out.I never catch fish right after a cold front.I don't mind waiting either.Usually bad out anyway.Anything under 60 is freezing.Florida Boy.Never seen snow and don't care if I ever do.
The second or third day after a cold front. I either use jigs tipped with live minnows or the fly rod.

to me for some reason I see no differance if Im night fishing.
Day time Im with dixieangler...2-3 days.
Not always but generally its windy for a day or so after the front pushes thru
I think right after a cold front I catch them right next to cover. Like if, i'm fishing stumps I want the jig kissing the stump. I fish jigs 99% of the time.

For me as soon as the wind backs off enough to safely get out, I'm in the water. Looking for 3 main areas. Structure with tight cover, Points with cover or drop offs, or ledges of 3 feet or more. For the most part the areas I fish will determine how I fish, with jigs, minnows, or both.
