Thread: He's on his way

Had the pleasure yesterday to be in the boat w/Andy aka/Crappieday for the 1st time since his health issues came upon him last November & was blessed w/slight breezes & plenty of rod bending. Ended up being quite the P/T session for him, before we left the water...probably boated 60 some fish & finished w/somewhere in the 30's for keeper fish over 11" to help his freezer look a little better. Really missed bouncing concepts of bait size, color, & presentation these last few months w/him, as well as everyday "chewing of the fat"...Yep, it was a good ole time to be had...& couldn't think of a better way to finish off the day, to what had been an awesome outing w/some table fare caught last week in the form of some stud coppernose gills I've neglected to ingest for a few yrs now, reminded me of blue crab, in the "working" of the meat off the bone, but oh so good prepared in this manner, glad I left a few not completely fileted.....tight lines all till next time....life is good

Wow. Thanks for sharing the adventure and the great pics. Those plated gills look mighty fine. Makes me want to get the fly rod out and go Gill Hunting. I love to plate up some Gills with Potato Puffs, "cold" Slaw and some Sweet Tea. Time to break out the frog poppers. Tight Lines.

Great to see Andy back on the water. Jeff thanks for all you do on this form, you always seem to be helping someone of us that need help. Andy your looking really good and healthy. Keep on doing what your doing. Can't wait to come back to Florida and fish with both of you. Jeff thanks for the post.

Still catching specks in my dreams last night Jeff, can’t thank you enough. Didn’t want to stop but my legs and back said otherwise, need to exercise more so I can stand and single poll all day again.

Ya held your own just fine Andy, so glad the fish cooperated & like we discussed, for June we probably did as well as anyone could of expected & was thankful for all that was provided to make for some summertime fun, definitely a remember when trip, thanks for being here to share the experience=there really is a reason for everything.....as well as you other guys, your as young as you want to be, I learn more & tend to listen better to elders w/experience & get back more than most may think....& as a final note, what fun is catching fish if you can't fellowship w/others while doing sooooo........thanks to all for keeping members in prayers when in need, we see many come out the other side of their aliments w/

Good to see you two out there doing the deal. Jeff’s boat is lots safer than mine Andy. Both of you were in good company and the freezers are in much better shape now. Hoping to see you out more soon Andy.
