Default Every day it's "something different" lol

Ya got to love fishing. Every day it's something different. I pretty much use the same baits every day. Sometimes I'll change baits but it's not very often. I guess I'm lazy. But I do use a variety of bait colors. One day, they'll be hitting one rod, the next day they'll be hitting a different rod. It's always seems different. And yeah, I do have a bread and butter color I seem to catch most of my fish on (especially one poling), but usually they switch up on what colors they hit.

Anyway the point is, you jest never know. Today I have this one jig that's falling apart. I cast it out with the intention of replacing it once I got the rest of the other rods out. Low and behold, this ugly falling apart bait was the one today.

Today I caught more brim than usual, and the crappie were small. But that one bait is what caught 80% of the fish this morn. Including the brim, I prolly caught and released a dozen or so doing my usual long lining in my usual places, all before 10am. I'm telling you though, based on the way that beat up bait looked, I think you can put slabsauce on a bare jig with only a bugger on it and still catch fish. Might have to try that next time on a bare jig.
