Saw this a little too late but I'd be interested in hearing some of the main talking points.

I attended the one on Tuesday evening. Some good points were addressed and they were gathering info as part of what will be a long process in regards to crappie regulations. The same process was used for the changes made a while back for the Bass regs. There may be no changes and the guys were very receptive and listened well. Four of us attended this meeting and we were diverse in out backgrounds. Size minimums, bag limits and specific lake regs were some of the things discussed. Our meeting was slated for two hours and we ran most of that, just 10 minutes shy. Hope this answered some of the questions y’all might have.

Seeing this late as well.... don't know the exact/correct #, but for argument sake, if there budget/yr was 50 million, they spent around 40 million on spraying, from what I've seen online/heard.... I'm sure there is politics involved to the tune of "use it or loss it" in funding. However, there's gotta be so many beneficial alternative ways to spend this money. Dredging, Stocking, Clean up projects, all come to mind. Would not be opposed to a state wide 10" minium, however, for only "certain" lakes gets to be confusing & brings to much attention to a particular area. ....The recreational crowd will no doubt be beating on my door for the spraying thing, but as fishermen we all know the adverse effects on fishing, for all species. Hope for the best & encouraging they've (FWC) have opened a forum to be heard. Just thoughts, & know there's many other angles that can be explored.

    Hi Speck Detector,

Skeetbum was spot on with the points discussed last night. The admins for this forum were specifically looking into the bag, creel limits, size, regulations portion etc. I did bring up habitat as a discussion toward the end and there is another group working on that. I would like more information on what group that is, who is leading, and when they would hold some forums. As you said.. spraying, dredging, clean up, are all hot topics we see all the time
