Default Slow day out on the river until...

It was a slow day out on the st. john's river out of lake monroe wayside park boat ramp. Until around 1pm and the bite turned on. Seems like they were bitin' in the shade. Practicin' my dock shootin' skills under pilings and seem to get some of those pesky specks out of there. Caught several more but not worth keepin'. Need more growth although they had some meaty shoulders. Only kept 3 so fish sticks tonight. Was able to pick up fish, don't know if they were specks or not but I think they were bein' that far down a little off the bottom, on my fish/depth finder around 12-14ft. but couldn't get them to eat. It was slow for me and couldn't get the numbers I was hopin' for but didn't get skunked that's for sure. They only seemed to like the crappie magnet in white/chartreuse color with a plain lead jig head. They're not the big ol' gals I wanted but they'll do. Name: 20200312_184814.jpg

Good Job Shaye! I’ve had a hard time lately so I feel your pain. Going looking myself tomorrow and I’m not sure where. Even got a good salty report today. Decisions......

Oh I'm a salt water fisherman first but I love fishin' for specks when it's not to hot. They're to tasty to give up and real fun to catch, have a blast catchin'em. Definelty a passion for them to. Will be goin' back to the sodium this month.
