Slow bite today we managed 1 nice speck pushing minnows, then the cranking battery died, nobody around but gators too. I used a trolling battery to start the big motor. Im spending as much time at Walmart as I am fishing, lol spirits still good though.Quote:

Looks like some really nice speck's, when is the fish fry? :cheers2 I'm headed down this Friday any tips would be appreciated.
All the ones we caught were tight in cover and pretty shallow. Also they were all caught in wood meaning a fallen down tree, stump, some sort of structure. We had minnows out with corks but also jig fished every spot as well. We moved around a lot too. We definitely had to work for them so dont get discouraged easily. Like I said we really don’t know what we’’re doing either lol I’m sure there’s plenty of people on here who could help you better that’s just what seemed to work a little for us.
