Did I say how much I enjoy fishing Thanksgiving Weekend

What a way to top off 3 days of fishing. The trolling batteries were struggling to recover after 2 days of 6 non-stop hrs, plus fighting the wind, so decided to head over to the Indian River up Mims way to try my luck with some shrimp. Anchored up in a few spots, then found some boiling fish. Casting just outside of the activity & hooked on with a Freight Trane headed anywhere, but my boat. Played him for 15 minutes & 6 runs before netting a healthy 24" slot Red. Was the only sport fish, caught 2 other sea cats, but was very satisfied back at the ramp hearing of tough conditions for others due to full moon & wind. Yep, this weekend has always been good speck fishing for me, but today was a bonus/kicker, if you will, I'll remember for some time to come Also had a captive audience at 1 of the stops=bird pic
