For our Wednesday trip this week we went back to George's Lake not to be confused with Lake George as this is a very small but deep lake. Talked to a guy at the ramp that was heading out to fish crappie also and he said they were deep and just off the bottom lately. If he reads this I think him as they sure was. We caught 80 fish and Tom kept 22 that was in the 10 to 11" range. Those seam like the size of the big fish in that lake I think of the hundreds we have caught there this year since we started fishing the place I caught one that went better then 12" Yep fall is here as this is the first time I have seen more then one other boar fishing crappie. Maybe because the canal the ramp is on is not very wide and when you launch there is not a lot of room behind the boat and there is no dock you either have to crawl in over the bow at the ramp of off the high dirt bank. I is cooling off and getting time to head back to Crescent and Dead Lake. It is a 60 mile drive for us so we been prospecting the closer lakes this Summer. Don
