No such thing as a small light weight line counter reel. Here is a link to the ones I use to pull crankbaits with. SHAKESPEARE ATS TROLLING REEL - Northwoods Wholesale Outlet Size 15 is the smallest.

seems to me i ordered one of those 3 years ago or so and it was so huge compred to my spinning real Maybe i ordred the wrong number?/

I agree with G. Cheapest around $26 and very fast shipping. I just bought 4 more.

They are pretty big....but it's not like your holding it all the time....you put your rod in a rod holder and troll...only pick it up to reel in a fish so it really dosent matter.

Going out on a limb here,don’t know I’ve ever seen a reel with a didital counter?I presume to tell the depth you are fishing?thanks in advance

All "line counter reels" (or add-on counters) do is measure how much line you let out. You zero out the counter to start, then when you let out line it tells you how many feet of line have left the reel. Doesn't matter if you're line is straight down or trailing the boat, all it does is give you the amount of line that's been let out, you have to figure how deep your bait is depending on boat speed, line angle, weight added, and/or diving depth of bait used. If trolling methods are being used, and you don't have a chart showing the depth of the bait via length of line out .... then if your line is at a 45deg angle (or thereabouts), then you can still figure a ballpark depth of your bait by multiplying the length of line out (below the surface) by 0.6 (so, with 30ft of line out below the surface and the line at a 45deg angle from rod tip to water's surface, your bait would be approx. 18ft deep .... 30x0.6=18) In other words ... every foot of line you let out, at that angle, your bait will be 7 inches deep .... or every 5ft of line out puts the bait 3ft deep.
