Likewise Mike to you & your son-n-law, living the dream this week being able to have success in salt/yesterday & fresh/this morning....no monsters, but plenty to keep us busy. About (25) crappie, Mr. whiskers, Mr. long-nose, & foul hooked a 5# shad in the dorsal (what a fight on 4 lb. test) all visit the boat. Then when things slowed like Mike said around 9:30, decided to try an old spot not far away...WRONG MOVE....hit a bad patch of weeds, cleaned them off, but seen the water busting about 50 yds ahead, so went through & BAM 6 of 10 poles bend hard...boat 3 of 6 stripers, soooo I guess you know how I spent the next 30 minutes, that's right replacing tackle, al' well interesting variety this morning....Hope we have slight wind after 10 next week, otherwise catch them early because the switch shut hard after 10 without it. Few picks including lunch of cut to fry size trout from yesterday, YUM!! See you all next week!
Great report Jeff. That is a working mans holy grail to go both salt and fresh and score well on both sides. I would have paid good money to see the striper show, bet it was fun. I would have been all over those trout fillets, look extra yummy. Good Job mister!!
Saturday was out for me I was giving my sons new boat and trailer a good going over for a shake down cruise on Sunday. Launched at Monroe park around 7am it was a gost town no one at the launch. Took a run around the lake to see if the Yamaha 150 was working ok and man is that Robalo a sweet ride. Only a few speck fishermen on the lake????
Yes indeed them Robalos are nice. He will enjoy it for sure.

Great report!
Be careful out there. East winds at 10 forecasted with 5' seas the inlet will be nasty with outgoing tide all morning.
