BOAT RAMP CLOSURES: The Office of Emergency Management has issued a Boating Advisory for the St. Johns River from the City of Sanford to the southern Seminole/Orange County line. Due to recent heavy rainfall, river water levels have swelled at Lake Harney and Lake Jessup. Levels are forecasted to swell at Lake Monroe by the weekend. Boaters are encouraged to use caution when operating on the St. Johns River by running at decreased speeds and staying mindful of debris, low bridge clearance, sandbars, docks and other objects that may no longer be visible due to above-average water levels.
Mullet Lake Park and Wayside Park boat ramps are currently closed due to dangerous conditions.

with all this high water in the river, I may have to take a few days off from the river and head over to the inter coastal to try for some summer shrimp or maybe some blue crabs.
