What kind did you get?

I got up around 7 am and looked out side. It was warm ( 58 deg ) wind was calm and the last of a light fog was still hanging around. Looked like a good day to hit the lake. I got there about 8:30 and found a spot in the parking lot. ( at this hour that was iffy)
The lake was dead calm and the fog had lifted. I could see a good 6 to 8 boats just off shore. I fired the big motor and moved my way out into the lake. I turned on the down imaging and side imaging and tried to make out what I was seeing.
As I hit the sign line I switch over to the trolling motor and pointed the boat west. At this point I thought I would put out a rod or six. Why not ?? The others were trying it.
Just as I settled in, a rod goes off. First fish of the day. It was a small one but still a fish. It goes back to swim another day. I didn't have any high hopes for the day, but the rods kept going off. Not all that much, but enough.
I ended up boating about a dozen fish and kept 3 for the ride home. And Oh ya, I got to play with the fish finder too.
What kind did you get?
A day on the water is hard to beat but a new toy and fish in the boat sure does make it better.

Looked like a lot of people out there with ya Monday, been tearing me up for some good conditions OTW, think you'll fall in love with the SI option, with all the shallow water I fish, only use my finder for troll speed, contour, & depth...
crappie down !Slimjim1 thanked you for this post
After the learning curve, you’ll love it. Mine are old school 798’s and even after the years I’ve had them, Istill don’t know how to do some things. Yours will have better resolution than mine.
