After making a run to the coast yesterday, I wanted to give the old Tracker a good fresh water wash down. So what better way to do it than drop her in the lake.

I was a little slow getting to the lake but I was there shortly after sun up. There was still room in the parking lot, thank goodness! I launched the boat and headed out into the lake. The wind has changed ! More out of the NNE. I set up my drift pattern and set out the rods. Then the wind changed again ! More out of the east. I made the adjustments.

Things were going slow. I picked up one or two but they were under 12". I made another pass but with some adjustment to cover some new water. It was sill slow going. Only one more fish came on board. I had the rods jump several times but no hook ups. I talked with another boat and they reported slow going as well.

I was debating to go in or make another pass. In either case it will take me close to the boat ramp. I pulled the rods and made a run in that direction. As I got close to the ramp I saw a boat that looked familiar,so I swung over and gave a shot out. It was Ocurrans. We talked for a bit, and then we set up to make another pass together. The drift was good and our boats kept pace with each other. It was nice to be able to compare our different styles.

At the end of the morning I ended up boating 4 keepers. Not large but still good size. and I talked to a friend.
