I got to the ramp a little late this morning ( about an hour late ), I don't think that I have this time change worked out yet. I was number 9 in the lot but not the only one running late. There was one boat at the ramp, and one waiting to launch when I got there.

It was foggy out there but as I left the dock and looked out onto the lake I could see other boats. I checked the drift and found that it would take me towards the fleet. I normally don't fish with the pack, but I had heard that there was good fishing in the area where the pack was. So I set the drift to take in in that direction.

As I passed close to, but on the out side of the group of boats,my first rod goes off. As I was netting that fish, the second rod goes off. I clear the net, drop the fish on the deck and start to land the second fish. That's when the third rod goes off. Some how I boat all three fish and set the rods back out and then it starts again. Two more rods go off. That's five fish in short order. I turn around and head back for another pass. But all is quiet. Not another bite.

I set the drift to take me a little further to the east. There are some boats over that way. I pick up two more nice ones on the way over and a few that I sent back to grow up some more. I decide its time to work my way back in. Its a nice ride back and the rods got to dance a few more times. What a great way to spend the morning.

I hit the ramp with 10 nice size keepers in the box. That's a nice amount to clean at one time. Much more and it could get to be some work. I'm on my way home before noon.
