Wed on Monroe

I got to the ramp on time this morning. I was # 3 in the lot. After two days of some very cold Florida weather, it warmed up enough for me to go out. The winds had died down and the water temp had dropped some more, I had some high hopes for this morning.

I set up to do my drift like I have been doing and made the first pass. Nada ! so I reset a little more to the west and made another pass. Much better this time, two fish in the boat and was was big enough to keep. The wind was calming down so I lowered the trolling motor and set a new pattern. I picked up two more fish and again one was a keeper. Then it really slowed down. Time to find a new area. I headed to the other side of the lake.

The sky was clearing and the morning was beautiful ! I stayed out a little longer just to enjoy the water. And add one more fish to the box.

Not as many fish as I was hoping for but it was a great way to spend the morning and I got a meal out of it as well.

Always enjoy your report....I was there as well.....4th boat in the water..... Did about the same..... Did get one monster.... It can only get better
