The Google Aquatic
I’m a newbie to the art crappie angling. I’m using a cane pole and live bait. Most of the places in my area are fairly fished out, by kids mostly and I don't mind that, or are on private land, which others DO seem to mind. I’ve been looking for some holes and spots to get into and I’m wondering if anyone has been shoreline or has much knowlege of Lake Florence, as well as Rockledge and Faulk Creek.
I know there is a lot of fishing at Lk. Poinsett, but I was startled by just how many places there are off the beaten track in Brevard to fish. I’[m sure there is gator or two but, being the big tough Florida Native I am, if they’re underfoot, it’s wraslin’ time.
Also, and I’m sure I’m not the first to discover this, but google maps, or your online map of choice, is a great way to find smaller water ways, such as Faulk’s Creek, that I never would have known about. I’m sure getting to some of these places will pose a little more of an obstacle than just looking at the map, but it’s a good start?
And who knew they named a creek after Colombo?
As my wife and I’s boat building progress gets underway, I'll keep you posted.
Thanks for your time.
