    Default 2 hour tour

Had an opportunity to take my daughters fishing, the last chance to have them both fishing together till summer (oldest in Nashville for college). Ran out to local lake here in Orlando to chase green fish. We incorporated some longlining techniques into our bass fishing. We troll 5 rods, a 3 with dbl. jigs (large 1/8 oz) rigged with 4" plastics and a couple with crankbaits. We troll between 4 and 5 mph with large motor. Most outings we catch crappie along with bass. In previous years it has been very productive from now till end of February. Believe we are catching fish staging before and after spawn.Name: 20170102_084325-1.jpg

Awesome good looking green fish there. Got a local lake here in lake county, longline there too for specks though and seem to catch nothing but them green fish and occasionally will catch a speck there. This is one the wifey caught. .Name: ellie bass.jpg

Looks like that little one let his alligator appetite over load his humming bird butt. As Grand Paw used to tell us.

Good times, she'll remember these times with Dad more as a young adult & very likely pass down the tradition, wish my son would get the bug back, but I know some things are just not to be forced....I'm proud of him all the same & glad at least we got the sports bond to closely interact.
