Default Nice Thanksgiving morning on Monroe

I could tell some others in this group were fishing this morning. Great couple of hours with my son. We started bass fishing the edges and caught a few but decided to start trolling for slabs about 8. Didn't get a bite until we hit about 8 1/2' of water. I had been switching out colors and jigs then decided to put a big beetle spin right off the back. I caught two good ones within a minute on that beetle spin so I changed over the rest to a black/pink grub on a roadrunner and that was the trick. We caught for a good hour or so until about 10:30. Called it a day and headed back for turkey and football.

Just noticed one of your fish is tail clipped. I have caught 2 this year that have been clipped as well. Wonder what thats about.
