I can't afford a sawbuck buy I'll bet a fin on that....
Anoles dont have the suction feet, just little claws.
Here Are Just a Few Highlights
Described In Detail In the Book
"Anoles: Those Florida Yard Lizards"
Neat Feet. Did you ever wonder how anoles are able to walk straight up smooth surfaces like glass? Actually, the closer you look, the more interesting and involved it gets. First, take a look with a hand-held magnifier to see the lamellae (horizontal flaps with ridges) underneath the feet. Next, apply for a grant to buy a very expensive electron microscope (yuk, yuk). Now you'll see how intricate the feet really are: tiny hair-like projections that bond at a molecular level with the surfaces
they climb.
A lizard! A lizard that does pushups!
Don't believe everything you read/hear ! ! ! ! ! !
Hillary was supposed to win too ............................................
Based on that, I'd say that feller (Who wrote the book) is referring to Geckos as "Those Fla yard lizards"
Can I get an AMEN ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
What I like about the male Anoles around here (I have lots) is they fold out their red dewlap and do pushups when a female is around. Enjoying seeing that.
I call em dragons. The wife likes the newborns that are about and inch or less.
