I felt the need to get the boat wet and to see if my rods still remembered how to bend. The tracker had been sitting in the garage all summer and I think that she was getting a little stiff from not getting out.
I met up with my friend Les at the ramp in Enterprise at 7:30am and pushed our way through the sea weed and out into the lake. There we were met by a stiff wind which set us up with a good drift. We worked our way from west to east. We picked up a nice one right off the bat. Then nothing the rest of the pass. Pulled and reset for another pass. Nothing until we got to the far end of the lake and started to make the turn. We picked up the next 5 in short order. By then it was getting a little late so we headed in.
It was good to be back on the water. I only had to free up the trailer jack wheel that seemed to have gotten stuck from sitting. The rods did remember how to bend and I only lost one fish at the boat.
It was a good day
another good day at the office !
