lake kissimmee spillway tailrace or river

I looked it up on google earth looks like a decent place to fish usually spikllways like this is a great place to catch crappie and catfish when you dont have a boat has anyone here had experience fishing the spillway of lake kissimmee or the river?

Mot there, but if you dont mind a lil drive the tailrace at Rodman dam in Ocala forest is very good.
